Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches season 2 premieres on January 5, cementing its spot in AMC’s Immortal Universe, which began with the ultra-popular Interview with the Vampire. Mayfair Witches deals with the powerful Mayfair clan, currently led by Rowan (Alexandra Daddario), a neurosurgeon whose mysterious ability to manipulate life and death was explained once she came into contact with her birth family. Unfortunately, her magical legacy comes at a cost — namely a malevolent spirit named Lasher that has latched onto the family’s witches for generations and believes Rowan Mayfair is the final “doorway” to help him enact his plan.
