After nearly three years off the air, HBO's Perry Mason is back for season 2 as Matthew Rhys sets off to solve another crime in 1930s Los Angeles. Dejected by the mistrial at the end of season 1, Perry has chosen to forgo criminal cases in favor of civil suits, much to the dismay of his partner Della Street (Juliet Rylance) and investigator Paul Drake (Chris Chalk). When two young men are accused of the murder of philanthropist Brooks McCutcheon, though, Perry finds himself defending them and digging deep into another conspiracy.
