Marvel Confirms an Iconic Agents of SHIELD Insult was 100% Correct

WARNING: contains spoilers for Fury #1!S.H.I.E.L.D. is Marvel’s most iconic espionage agency, appearing across its many different realities, often with different phrases making up its acronym. Indeed, in Agents of SHIELD, when Grant Ward is asked what the concept of 'strategic homeland intervention, enforcement and logistics division' means to him, he replies, "It means someone really wanted our initials to spell out SHIELD." It's an amusing joke on a Marvel mainstay, and yet now the comics are admitting Ward was totally right.
