Kim Kardashian Crawls Through Christmas Chaos in Video For Travis Barker-Produced ‘Santa Baby’ Cover

Christmas can be both the most wonderful, and the most chaotic time of year. What with all the rushing around and the baking and the wrapping and the delayed holiday travel. Kim Kardashian hints at the sometimes overwhelming holiday hubbub experience in a new video for her cover of Eartha Kitt’s “Santa Baby.”

The visual directed by Nadia Lee Cohen and Charlie Denis dropped on Sunday (Dec. 22) and in it the Skims founder takes center stage in a blonde wig as a woozy party host crawling through the wreckage of holiday merriment gone sideways. Exhaling the lyrics in a husky whisper, Kardashian’s vocals are well-buried in the mix of the noisy video, which mostly focuses on the outré guest list, including deal-making stock bros yelling into corded landlines, a passed-out, man-sized elf and models playing Twister in their underwear.

In the midst of it all, a zoned-out looking Kardashian meanders on all fours across the garbage-strewn floor wearing pink leg warmers, tan riding pants with an exposed thong and a blue cashmere cardigan with ample cleavage, her perfectly made-up face a island of calm in the midst of two guys wrestling, Jesus checking on the fridge contents and a woman hacking a Christmas tree to pieces.

The track was produced by Kardashian’s brother-in-law, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and released through Barker’s DTA Records and Columbia Records; it is Kardashian’s first new music release in more than 13 years, serving as the follow-up to her The-Dream and Tricky Stewart-produced debut single, 2011’s “Jam (Turn It Up).”

The video — with a glitchy, VHS-tape-like crackling quality — continues to get more bizarre, gliding past a woman in a star-spangled bikini trapped in a fish tank, a couple of businessmen rubbing a Rudolph furry’s belly and a voyeuristic, creepy-looking Santa, played by Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin, whose been videotaping the whole scene.
