Warning: SPOILERS for chapter #79 of Kaiju no. 8.Chapter #79 of Kaiju no. 8 shows the manga's female protagonist, Kikoru Shinomiya, gaining a powerful upgrade to her abilities that looks very similar to One For All, the Quirk (superpower) of Izuku Midoriya, aka Deku, the main character of My Hero Academia. Just like Midoriya can communicate with the spirits (called "vestiges" in the series) of the previous users of his transmittable Quirk, One For All, so Kikoru is able to see the "ghost" of her mother through the memories of her Numbers Weapon 4, the combat suit that Kikoru inherited.
