After plenty of back and forth on if the sequel will happen, franchise producer Basil Iwanyk weighs in on whether John Wick 5 is moving forward. Despite the latest movie ending with Keanu Reeves' eponymous character seemingly meeting his end, Lionsgate announced two months after Chapter 4's release that they were moving forward with a fifth movie, looking to capitalize on the franchise-high reviews and box office numbers. Reeves and director Chad Stahelski have been more cautious in the possibility of continuing Wick's story, acknowledging they are open to making more, but feeling uncertain of how to return.
