JJ Abrams Teases His Hot Wheels Movie, Says It’s "Emotional" & "Grounded"

JJ Abrams opens up and teases his Hot Wheels movie, calling it "emotional and grounded." A year ago, it was announced that the filmmaker known for work on the Star Wars and Star Trek franchises is producing the live-action adaptation of Hot Wheels which had been stuck in development since 2003. Earlier this year, the project started moving full speed ahead with Dalton Leeb and Nicholas Jacobson-Larson writing the adaptation of the Mattel toys, though a script has yet to materialize.
