Alongside freshman series Found, The Irrational has been renewed by NBC for a second season ahead of its season 1 finale. The procedural went on hiatus in November with season 1, episode 8, "Scorched Earth" slated to air on Monday, January 29. Viewers have learned a great deal about Alec Mercer during the show's initial episodes, but there remains a long list of unanswered questions about his past. The truth about the accident that left him scarred is only one of many mysteries the show will hopefully address when The Irrational returns.
