Jason David Frank’s New Movie Is The Gritty Power Rangers Story 2017’s Failed Reboot Should Have Been

Legend of the White Dragon, an upcoming Bat In The Sun movie featuring Jason David Frank’s final performance, is the closes thing to the gritty Power Rangers story that Power Rangers (2017) could not be. Legend of the White Dragon is not a Power Rangers movie, nor is it part of the Power Rangers franchise in any way. That said, Legend of the White Dragon draws inspiration from Power Rangers as well as other Tokusatsu shows, especially through Jason David Frank’s character. The White Dragon can be interpreted as an homage to the Green Dragon Ranger and the White Tiger Ranger, two of Tommy Oliver’s Power Rangers forms.
