The revamped DC Universe already has its new Superman on the way, but James Gunn has addressed when fans might expect to see a new Flash movie. Serving as one of the final entries in the former DC Extended Universe, 2023’s The Flash had already completed filming when Gunn and producer Peter Safran were named co-CEOs of the freshly minted DC Studios in late 2022. Despite the buzz surrounding Michael Keaton’s long-anticipated return as Batman in the film, the finished product would also generate mixed reviews and ultimately underwhelm at the box office.
