It feels odd Bad Boys 4 is coming in 2024 since word on the sequel has been oddly quiet, but it also breaks a surprising Will Smith record. While Smith has appeared in a few sequels to his biggest hits, he's been selective in this area. He passed on Independence Day: Resurgence to make Suicide Squad instead, and while his absence was keenly felt in the former, it can't be denied the latter was the bigger hit. He also skipped on returning for James Gunn's soft reboot The Suicide Squad, with his character Deadshot being dropped from the story entirely.
