Glen Powell’s impressive Rotten Tomatoes streak was broken in 2023, and if it weren’t for his $220 million mixed-reviewed movie, Hit Man and Twisters would have continued the actor’s run of “Fresh” films. Powell’s career is rapidly trending upward, and he is undoubtedly the closest Hollywood is to having another certified movie star. So, his streak of positively reviewed films (Hit Man has a 95 percent score, and Twisters received a 77 percent score) isn’t surprising. But the fact that one project (which was a commercial success and beloved by audiences) ruined Powell’s outstanding stretch of critically acclaimed movies is disappointing.
