Considering its setup and lead actor, plenty of people have been wondering if Max’s new medical drama The Pitt is a spinoff of the long-running series ER. The series is set in the emergency department of the fictional PTMC, a trauma center hospital in Pittsburgh. Over the course of 15 episodes, The Pitt will follow the story of the doctors and medical workers in PTMC’s ER, sarcastically nicknamed The Pitt, as they deal with cases from the mundane to the life-altering.
