I Refuse To Believe This Robert De Niro Movie Isn’t A Secret Meet The Parents Remake

In more ways than one, a Robert De Niro movie comes off as the perfect remake of Meet the Parents. Helmed by Jay Roach, Meet the Parents is actually a remake of a 1992 film of the same name directed by Greg Glienna. The film was initially supposed to be directed by Steven Spielberg, with Jim Carrey playing the lead role. However, when it later went to Jay Roach after Spielberg and Carrey dropped out of the project, Ben Stiller was taken aboard to play the iconic main character, Greg Focker.
