Star Wars: The High Republic’s most powerful villain, the pirate Marchion Ro, caused incredible carnage in the galaxy, but how did he weaken the Jedi? The Star Wars: The High Republic books and comics transport readers to the Jedi’s Golden Age, a few centuries before darkness overtook the galaxy in the Star Wars prequel trilogy. Though the Jedi were at the height of their power during the High Republic era, with Jedi Temples and outreach posts scattered all across the galaxy, Marchion Ro and the Nihil, his band of loyal marauders, undermined theirs and the Republic’s efforts to provide for the galaxy at every turn.
