Palpatine was able to conquer the galaxy from the shadows throughout Star Wars thanks in large part to the actions of his apprentice, Count Dooku. First introduced in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones, played by the late Sir Christopher Lee, Dooku was among the most capable Sith Lords, yet compared to his peers, he’s been relatively underserved. However, over the years, his complex history and motivations have been expanded upon and examined in various novels, comic books, and most recently, in Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi. There is still more to learn about him and his significance within the franchise though.
