How Better Call Saul’s Breaking Bad Cameos Broke The Show’s Rules: "Counter To Our Whole Approach"

Better Call Saul executive producer Melissa Bernstein explains why the surprise Breaking Bad cameos didn't adhere to the show's rules. First airing in 2015, Better Call Saul serves as a spinoff of Breaking Bad, following Bob Odenkirk's Jimmy McGill as he becomes sleazy criminal lawyer Saul Goodman. The show came to an end last year, with a final season that included welcome appearances by Bryan Cranston's Walter White and Aaron Paul's Jesse Pinkman.
