Grimes Asks Fans For Help Contacting Quentin Tarantino, Thinks Having a Chat With Director Will ‘Make Me Better’

Grimes needs your help. The singer recently put out a call to her fans in search of assistance in tracking down one of her cinematic idols. In a series of posts on X, the “Shinigami Eyes” star asked her followers for advice on getting in contact with director Quentin Tarantino.

“Does anyone know any way I can contact Quentin Tarantino?,” Grimes wrote in a post on Saturday. “I have for many years tried every other route to contact him, and it’s likely that he simply doesn’t wish to speak to me, but as a last ditch attempt – I am throwing this out into the universe 🙏🏻.”

Though Tarantino is beloved by many, it was unclear why Grimes is so obsessed with the auteur behind such classics as Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown. A follow-up tweet provided some further context, with Grimes explaining, “I just want to talk to him. I think one of the reasons he’s one of the best directors is because he’s one of the best writers ever low key. I just think having a conversation with him will make me better.”

Some fans had jokes, including one who alluded to the director’s alleged obsession with feet — “try sending feet pics tbh” they wrote — to which Grimes replied, “honestly I’m at that point haha.” Other suggestions to reach out were slightly more helpful, with a fan suggesting she try to get Tarantino’s attention by writing a question to his Video Archives Podcast. “Thank you! Yes I’ve tried thru agents and s–t I’m just gna mail this dude,” Grimes replied.

The 61-year-old director whose most recent film was 2019’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood has said his next, as-yet-unannounced film, will be his final one before he retires. At press time it did not appear as if Tarantino had publicly responded to Grimes’ request.
