Grease’s “Sandra Dee” sleepover scene is one of the 1978 movie musical’s most iconic, but its prequel Rise Of The Pink Ladies changes the original scene for the worse. The prequel show takes place four years prior to Grease and depicts the formation of the greaser group the Pink Ladies. In Grease, the Pink Ladies are an established group of friends (with the addition of Sandy), while Rise Of The Pink Ladies casts the characters Jane, Cynthia, Olivia, and Nancy as a more unlikely ensemble. Both Grease properties show the Pink Ladies having a sleepover together, but because of the differences between the two versions of the Pink Ladies, the scenes come across differently.
