George Lucas himself was the true mastermind behind Andor, the best Star Wars TV show of the Disney era. George Lucas sold Lucasfilm to Disney back in 2012, and it didn't take long for the relationship to sour a little. Disney CEO Bob Iger has openly admitted that was one of his greatest mistakes, acknowledging missteps and communication problems in his autobiography The Ride of a Lifetime. Since then, things do seem to have improved, with Lucas enjoying Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. There's a sense in which that isn't a surprise, though, given Rogue One – and the recent Star Wars spinoff Disney+ TV show, Andor – dovetail so well with Lucas' own vision.
