Garmin Instinct 3 and 3S leaked, promising ‘infinite’ battery life, Garmin Pay, and more

  • The Garmin Instinct 3 is expected to launch this year
  • A new retailer leak suggests it might not be far away
  • Details of a new Garmin Instinct 3 and 3S include a Solar model, new VO2 max training status, Garmin Pay, and more

The new Garmin Instinct 3 was leaked twice towards the end of 2024, and now another retailer slip-up has given us our clearest look yet at Garmin’s new outdoor smartwatch expected for 2025.

One keen-eyed Redditor has spotted a rogue listing for the Garmin Instinct 3 on UK retailer Jura Watches, an official-looking listing that seems to have gone live prematurely.

Alas, there are no pictures, but the banner on the web page (now taken down) reveals marketing spiel for a new Garmin Instinct 3, Garmin Instinct 3S, and Garmin Instinct 3 Solar. So what else does this latest leak tell us?

As mentioned, there are no images of the leaked Garmin Instinct 3, and the offending web page has now been taken down; however, the text from the page reveals a multitude of new details about the Garmin Instinct 3 range.

The leak states that the Instinct 3 “continues its second-generation evolution, offering a wide range of outdoor GPS smartwatches designed for those seeking a smaller case size, solar-powered options, and enhanced battery life.”

The Garmin Instinct is one of the best Garmin watches for the great outdoors. Building on the successful formula, Garmin looks set to add a new VO2 Max training status, suggested workouts, Fitness Age 2.0, Smart Trainer support, Connected Leaderboard, Respiration Tracking, Sleep Widget, Connect IQ, and Garmin Pay, the latter a big new feature.

It looks like there will be three Garmin Instinct 3 models: the Garmin Instinct 3, 3S, and Solar. According to the leak, the latter will boast “infinite” battery life thanks to its solar charging technology already deployed in other Garmin models.

There’s no word on a release date for the Instinct 3, but given this seemingly-official information has been disseminated to retailers, it’s highly possible that the Instinct 3 is days or weeks away, rather than months.
