Although there is a considerable amount of excitement prior to Furiosa's release in 2024, there's also a major challenge ahead when it comes to the movie's box office prospects. The Mad Max franchise came back to life thanks to its reboot in 2014 with Mad Max: Fury Road, which made quite an impact at that time commercially and critically. The upcoming prequel starring Anya Taylor-Joy as Furiosa has massive expectations behind it to repeat, if not exceed, the same levels of success that George Miller's last entry achieved. However, beating Mad Max: Fury Road's box office is far from guaranteed for the Mad Max prequel.
