The perfect Dune prequel show was set up thanks to Jason Momoa's Duncan Idaho, but it is too late for the spinoff to happen now. Denis Villeneuve's Dune re-introduced viewers to the expansive sci-fi world created by Frank Herbert and did an excellent job of setting up the franchise's future. By splitting the first book in half, Dune's ending perfectly set up the sequel, Dune: Part Two. The sequel movie will be only a piece of how the Dune franchise continues, as more sequels, spinoffs, and prequels are possible depending on how interested audiences remain in following Paul Atreides' journey and the fight for Arrakis.
