Rotten Tomatoes has changed its metric to calculate audience scores, introducing a new Popcornmeter and a rare “Verified Hot” rating, and there are already some 2024 movies with the Verified Hot label. The review aggregator introduced a major change to how audience scores are labeled, how they look, and the different requirements that come with them. But the biggest chance with Rotten Tomatoes’ new Popcornmeter is copying the concept of the “Certified Fresh” label from critics and applying it to audience scores.
