The Dragon Ball Super anime has thankfully retconned one of the worst slights that the manga ever made against Vegeta – having Goku use Destruction (hakai) first – and this will become even more relevant once the anime resumes and gets to the Granolah arc. What made the original storyline so disrespectful was how Goku using the power of Destruction would later undermine one of Vegeta's greatest accomplishments, his Ultra Ego form. Thankfully, the anime has already fixed this even before getting to that point of the story.
