Schmigadoon! season 2 sees its two New Yorker leads hoping to return to the charming town of Schmigadoon, but the series quickly changes things up. The first season’s small town straight out of the 1940s and '50s, and its musicals have been replaced with the darker, grittier Schmicago. The music in Schmigadoon! has changed to fit the new look, this time around riffing on the popular musicals of the 1960s and '70s. The first season of Schmigadoon! won an Emmy for its song “Corn Puddin’,” setting a bar that Schmigadoon! season 2 hopes to surpass with its new material.
