Disney Needs More Than Frozen 4 To Keep Up With Its Biggest Competition

With Disney’s recent confirmation of Frozen 3 and Frozen 4, the studio’s slate of upcoming movies may struggle to compete against its animation rivals. The name of Disney is synonymous with the form of animation; the studio has been a force to be reckoned with for as long as cartoons have boasted sound. However, Disney Animation has been on something of a losing streak as of late. Amid the box office disappointments of Strange World, Encanto, and Raya and the Last Dragon, Disney Animation’s last unmitigated commercial success was 2019’s Frozen 2.
