Unfortunately, it seems that Disney is making the same major box office mistake with the Haunted Mansion remake as it did with the cult classic original movie, Hocus Pocus. The Haunted Mansion reboot hopes to make a name for itself as the second film adaptation of Walt Disney's theme park attraction with a July 28th summer release to the public. It precedes a valiant attempt at reimagining the ghostly amusement tour ride, for 2003's The Haunted Mansion, famously starring Eddie Murphy, initially failed to impress critics and box offices of the time but went on to become a quintessential Halloween favorite supported by a solid, faithful following.
