Darth Maul may have used a dark side KOTOR ability to defeat Qui-Gon Jinn in the Star Wars canon. As seen in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, Darth Sidious sent his Sith apprentice Darth Maul to kill the Jedi Knights protecting Queen Padmé Amidala of the Naboo. Known as the iconic Duel of the Fates, Darth Maul may have relied on an ancient technique to defeat Qui-Gon before he met his own demise at the hands of Obi-Wan Kenobi.
