Zack Snyder's Man of Steel generated controversy due to the advice imparted by Jonathan Kent to his son, but The Flash is showing that he was right. Directed by Andy Muschietti, The Flash follows Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) on his mission to travel back in time to save his mother from being murdered. Due to his interference in the past, Barry finds himself in an alternate reality where General Zod (Michael Shannon) is returning to terraform Earth. This leads Barry to team up with an alternate version of himself, along with Michael Keaton's Batman and Kryptonian refugee Kara Zor-El (Sasha Calle) to stop him.
