If David Ayer’s Suicide Squad 2 had gone forward, the DCEU sequel would have included a big surprise for one of the remaining 2016 cast members. Despite being one of the few financially successful movies in the DCEU movie timeline, a proper sequel to Suicide Squad never came to fruition with Ayer at the helm. Instead, James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad went forward, using elements of the original 2016 film while incorporating many new characters, but some have wondered what Ayer had potentially planned for his sequel.
