Jordan's latest entry in the Creed franchise takes a deeper look at Adonis' family and makes it even more important to him. Adonis' decision to retire from boxing was partially done with his family in mind, wanting to make sure that he stayed safe and healthy so he could be there for Bianca and their daughter Amara. The threat posed by Damian Anderson is the only thing that draws him back into the fight, and he does so with Bianca and Amara's support.
