Creed 3 missed the perfect opportunity to connect Adonis' past to another boxing champion, Felix Chavez. Ever since Adonis was born, his life has been tied to some of the biggest boxing champions. He is the son of Apollo Creed and fought to make a name for himself beyond his father's legacy. Adonis also trained under Rocky Balboa and had his first major fight against then-champion Ricky Conlan. He also is connected to Ivan Drago through Apollo's death, but Creed 3 primarily puts the focus on adding a connection between Adonis and Damian Anderson.
