In what is surely a boon to all of his yearning fans, legendary cartoonist and Calvin and Hobbes creator Bill Watterson has announced a return to comics, teaming up with famed caricaturist John Kascht for a new graphic novel, The Mysteries. One of the most enigmatic figures in all of popular culture, Watterson became a household name in the 1980s and ‘90s for his brilliant and universally acclaimed comic strip Calvin and Hobbes, before retiring in 1995, with only sporadic known public exhibitions of his work. Now, it looks like he’s ready to bring some goods to market again.
