NBC’s unique medical drama Brilliant Minds has already impressed with its debut season, but will the Zachary Quinto-led series score a season 2 renewal? Based loosely on the works of real-life neurologist Oliver Sacks, Brillaint Minds follows Dr. Oliver Wolf (Quinto), an unorthodox neurologist at Bronx General Hospital who uses his unique approach to care for his patients in revolutionary ways. Though the unusual-but-gifted doctor trope is practically a cliche on TV, Brilliant Minds brings a different perspective while drawing off of the actual experiences of the man who inspired Dr. Wolf’s character.
