If one character deserved a (somewhat) happy ending in Breaking Bad, it was Jesse Pinkman. Aaron Paul's character arguably had the best and most well-deserved character development over the course of the AMC drama television series. In contrast, Bryan Cranston's Walter White had the best character regression, as the show's title references. However, the final product of the conclusion to Jesse's story almost didn't happen, and if the original plan for Jesse followed through, the series would have been worse off for it.
