In their cheeky “Guess” music video, Billie Eilish and Charli XCX stand on top of a mountain of women’s underwear — but none of it went to waste once the director called “cut.”
Following the visual’s shoot, the two pop stars donated all of the unworn garments to I Support the Girls, a foundation that collects and distributes essential items — such as bras, underwear and menstrual hygiene products — to women experiencing homelessness, impoverishment or distress. According to a post on the non-profit charity’s website, the contribution included about 10,000 pairs of undies.
I Support the Girls also got a shout-out at the end of the “Guess” music video, which dropped Thursday (Aug. 1) soon after the “Von Dutch” artist teased that the nine-time Grammy winner was joining the project with a cryptic Instagram post. In the photo, Charli had showed off her frilly lingerie while her unidentified duet partner, who later turned out to be Eilish, flashed three layers of boxers to the camera.
“All unworn undergarments will be donated to survivors of domestic violence through I Support the Girls,” reads a message during the credits of the Aidan Zamiri-directed project, written in lime-green lettering to match Charli’s Brat album cover.
Following the donation, I Support the Girls is officially in its Brat summer. The foundation posted a video showing off its process of distributing products to those in need by customizing the “Guess” lyrics: “You wanna buy it, share it, pack it, ship it, pull it off the shelves and then go gift it.”
Eilish’s appearance on “Guess” marks just the latest remix Charli has released from her critically acclaimed album Brat, which has so far peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. The “Boom Clap” singer has also dropped revamped versions of her album’s tracks with Lorde, Robyn and more.
