The release of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete has some fans of the franchise comparing it to Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and finding to their surprise that Pocket Camp has a leg up when it comes to villager interactions. The free version of Pocket Camp was shut down in November, and the vast world of customization contained within it was almost lost forever right along with it. Instead, Nintendo decided to reintroduce the title as a single-purchase, complete mobile game stripped of its live updates, microtransactions, and most of its social elements. As a result, many Animal Crossing fans are only now picking up the game, though it’s been out and continuously updating for seven years.
