Across The Spider-Verse Nearly Cut Its Most Beloved New Spider-Man

One of the most beloved new Spider-People introduced in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse was almost cut from the final film, as revealed by film's creative team. Released on June 2, 2023, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse debuted hundreds of new Spider-People, after 2018's Into the Spider-Verse introduced only a few interdimensional heroes to Sony's Spider-Verse franchise. Comprising the expansive Spider Society and led by Miguel O'Hara's Spider-Man 2099, Across the Spider-Verse's new Spider-People became both allies and enemies to Miles Morales, yet in the film's original plan, one of Miles' closest new friends would have been cut completely.
