Stephen King gives a surprised good review to the new Dracula movie The Last Voyage of the Demeter. Film history has offered up numerous takes on Bram Stoker’s immortal creation Dracula, ranging from the iconic original Universal monster movie starring Bela Lugosi to this year’s darkly comedic Renfield, starring Nicolas Cage as Stoker’s bloodsucker. The latest Dracula adaptation, The Last Voyage of the Demeter, takes a slightly different approach than previous versions, zeroing in on an interesting but often overlooked chapter from Stoker’s novel, in which Dracula terrorizes the crew of a ship bound from Transylvania to London.
