As the finale of Kevin Williamson's six-season teen drama proves with Dawson (James Van Der Beek) and Joey's (Katie Holmes) endings, a person doesn't need to be romantically involved with their soulmate in order to solidify that bond. When Jack (Kerr Smith) arrives in Capeside, Massachusetts, during season 2 of the teen drama, he and Jen (Michelle Williams) become fast friends. In fact, even when they're at odds, the bond they share feels lived-in and lasting.
