Is Agents Of SHIELD MCU Canon? Disney CEO Revives 10-Year-Old Marvel Debate

The question of whether Marvel TV shows like Agents of SHIELD are canon to the Marvel Cinematic Universe was accidentally raised by DIsney CEO Bob Iger. This, in turn, kicked off a firestorm of controversy regarding how these shows are viewed by the management of Marvel Studios and Disney+. This is notable, given how many upcoming and ongoing MCU productions are based upon these series, which Iger seemed to malign as not being important.
