In Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones, the Jedi didn’t suspect their new Clone Army would ever betray them, and for good reason. Amidst its many problems, the second prequel film did a lot of good for the Star Wars franchise. It introduced audiences to Count Dooku and the clones, all played by Temuera Morrison. They’ve remained prominent and foundational figures in the franchise still to this day, as The Bad Batch season 2 continues to showcase what life was like for the clones following the formation of the empire. While clones like Clone Force 99, Captain Rex, and Fives are heroic characters, the army’s origins are complexly shrouded in darkness.
