The Idol is a drama series created by Euphoria's Sam Levinson and musician The Weeknd, otherwise known as Abel Tesfaye. The show follows pop star Jocelyn on her journey to reclaim her career after her mother's death by entering a problematic relationship with a club owner and cult leader, Tedros.
