Pixar created numerous box office hits in the past, but in the last few years, its movies haven't reached the same success that the studio expects from its projects. The animation studio's first feature film was Toy Story, which made an astounding $394 million at the box office in 1994 (against a $30 million budget) and went on to become one of the most popular animated movies. It spawned three sequels, with a fourth one on the way, and one spin-off. However, Pixar's 2023 film, Elemental, is shaping up to be another box office bomb for the studio.
