Video game adaptations have been around for decades, to some degree, but have been on the rise in recent years. The most award-winning video game adaptations tend to be in the TV sector, with The Last of Us being the most prominent game adaptation in recent years. The Last of Us‘ successful run was followed be another post-apocalyptic game adaptation with Prime Video’s Fallout. Though not as universally revered as The Last of Us, Fallout went on to be nominated for multiple Emmys, and Fallout season 2 is now in development.
