Mufasa: The Lion King provides a lot of new context on the world of The Lion King, although the prequel film does leave out one iconic location that is still mysterious after 30 years. The Pride Lands and beyond are explored throughout Mufasa: The Lion King, with the film explaining how they tie into the backstories of Mufasa, Scar, and the rest of The Lion King cast. However, while Mufasa: The Lion King does shine a new light on many of the franchise’s iconic locations, there is one place where the light does not touch.
