Allen is one of the most acclaimed American filmmakers in history, with a record 16 nominations for the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay, while winning four Academy Awards during his career. He has also been recognized by the BAFTA Awards, Golden Globe Awards, Tony Awards, Emmy Awards, and even the Grammys. He also won the Golden Globe Cecil B. DeMille Award in 2014.
