Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga explores the origin story of Mad Max: Fury Roads Furiosa (Anya Taylor-Joy and Charlize Theron), and it finally answers the question of why she shaves her head. Three decades after Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, George Miller revived the Mad Max franchise with Mad Max: Fury Road in 2015. Set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland where petrol and water are scarce, Fury Road follows Max Rockatansky (Tom Hardy), who is captured by cult leader and warlord Immortan Joe (Hugh Keays-Byrne) and taken to his fortress, the Citadel.
