Those hoping to pick up Grand Theft Auto VI at launch through a subscription service may be disappointed to discover that won’t be possible. With Day One releases on Xbox Game Pass becoming so common among many developers and publishers, it stands to reason that some would speculate on how Rockstar is approaching the distribution of its upcoming open-world game. Beyond Microsoft, there was also a chance GTA VI could be made available through the proprietary GTA+ service as a means of funneling more users towards the game’s ecosystem.
